The purchase of vines brought the estate to about twenty hectares. Until then, the wine was sold in bulk, but Gilbert Dupuy started producing bottled wine in his quest to reach a superior quality. From this pursuit of excellence was born Château Labadie. This beautiful rounded vintage is named after Labadie, a locality in the vicinity of Tauriac where the old winery, vineyards, and family home sit.
